This umbrella is HUGE. My little kids like to play on the patio all summer but it gets full sun all day. This umbrella will help keep them from getting burned and will give them a giant shaded area to play. You do need two people to finish putting it together because it is very heavy. I was thankful it came with the base!

DO NOT PURCHASE. It is extremely unsafe. After using it only a few times, one of the pieces broke and with even the slightest wind, the umbrella is not secure at all and the top moves so much that it hit someone in the head who was standing under it. I cannot understand how this cost over 400. Kids should not be anywhere near this

The size is great ! Not complaining about quality either more of safety note. If you live on the water or areas with wind . Make sure you put this down immediately if not using and secure it . A quick storm popped up here in Florida and the 40 mph wind gust move this across my patio no problem with the base filled to capacity. It finally slammed into my fence taking my husband with it . Took three of us to close because all the arms had broke . Its a large umbrella! Note to self , buy the warranty
