At first glance, when I opened the box, the finish on the pieces looked very nice. As I started to assemble the chair I discovered the one arm support had a vertical crack from top to bottom - but not all the way through. The problem with that is that I had already assembled the other arm, so had to take that apart so the piece with the crack was on the inside and got that side fully assembled. Moving on to the other side I discovered that that drilled holes for the arm rest did not line up with the holes on the support...so I had to drag out my drill...and take apart the other arm - which I had just reassembled so I could line up the pieces and drill the holes in the right location...then reassemble arm rest #1 as well as Arm rest #2. Finally, I foolishly thought, I'm in the home stretch to attach the chair to the base. NO CAN DO. WHY?? Because two 'M4-70' screws were defective - one was bent and the other had no 'X' on the head, so could not be screwed in. It was a hassle to get through the automated customer service...after 4 tries, I was finally able to chat with a human being and have her order the replacement screws...which finally arrived yesterday (Monday)...albeit too late for me to have the use of the chair for my party over the weekend! I ordered this chair to see if I liked it, then would have ordered at least one more + the 2-seater glider. Needlesstosay, that ain't happening. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROUCT.
