This is a darling basket and is just as it looks in the picture. The woven slats are lightweight and thin - therein lies the problem. It is very fragile - one slat broke just using the buckle closure. I’m using it for knitting accessories which are very light and I use the handles on the ends. It works alright for what I need but I wish I could find a sturdier version. I didn’t receive the blanket so I can’t speak to that.

It was very flimsy, I don't think it would hold picnic items.
