This product can be set up as a two seater with a bench between or as a solid bench and separate table. So there are actually two assembly options. I also want to point out a significant issue with the bench configuration. The backrest is not adequately supported and flexes much more than it should when you lean against it. In my opinion, it is the weak point of the design. We plan to reinforce ours because I can easily see the back eventually loosening or breaking with regular use. If you assemble it as a bench, check the back support carefully and consider adding reinforcement. The color and texture of the bench is very nice which was my main reason for getting it. Overall, I like the look of the bench, but there are issues.

This loveseat looks great on my patio. Definitely a perfect fit.
