Definitely keeps larger birds out.

Works perfectly at keeping unwanted bully birds out of the suet! I may very well purchase a second one.

Bully birds can't get access but the smaller birds can get in to eat the suet.

Too big and heavy for my shepherds hook. I ended up returning it. Looks very nice and sturdy but squares in wire mesh look too small for my woodpeckers to fit through. I could be wrong as I never hung it outside.
