There was some paint rubbed off where the lid closes on the sides of griddle. There was also a screw and another latch from the griddle hold down system bouncing around in the bottom of the unit so I had to take apart to get them out. Seems like a good unit but I was pretty disappointed to have to spend half hour trying to get loose parts out of a brand new appliance.

Please make this version with a castiron cook top! I bought this and was so excited for many of the features but once I got home I noticed it was a coated aluminum cooktop instead of the normal cast iron. I took it back. The cast iron cook top is the main reason I pick blackstone products!

Really enjoyed this griddle because of the nonstick surface and the pack ability of it in my camping rig. But, the cover needs to be redesigned with heavier hardware. This thing completely fell apart on one of our trips because of bumpy forest service roads. I will most likely have to go back to using my original cast top blackstone griddle now.

Bought the griddle last week and used it for the first time today on our camping trip. Very disappointed. Had to manually light it with a lighter because the ignighter would not work. I was skeptical buying this after reading other reviews about this issue, but figured it wouldn’t happen to me. I was wrong. I will be returning.
