Great screen. Would have order 2 side screens but they were on back order. It was a little difficult to install.

I've purchased 2x 10' and 2x 13'. This has been my summer story of 2025. So much time and energy went into setting this up on my 10x13 pergola (my solo review is available for that product). It has been a mixed-bag of an experience. The screens ARE beautiful once installed but there are SO many difficult factors to consider such as: 1) The legs MUST be in a perfect alignment and measurement. A half-inch or full inch off here will probably prevent the blinds from coming down/retracting easily. Good luck if the pillars have already been bolted down. I've made that mistake many many times and it was a pain to redo this all over my deck. This is mostly user-error however as I've mis-measured all the legs at start. It really goes from pillar cover to pillar cover and not pillar legs (where you can see the holes to bolt it down) to pillar legs. 2) The blinds MUST be centered per instructions. The guide does demonstrate that it must be fully pulled out in order to center it but I had the best experience doing it while it was installed from the top but... 3) Installing a long and unwielding 60+ lbs needs at least 3 people. You will need a person each to hold a leg while the 3rd person has to manually drill a hole into the pergola and put an aluminum screw through it. Yes that is correct....a power drill is necessary in order to punch 4 holes through the pillars. Making sure everything was flush at the top required putting the heavy blind on my shoulder and forcing it upwards while simultaneously drilling a hole. Even when this is done, my slides installation was still not completely flush. The lack of a pre-set latch to hook the blinds on was unnerving and felt primitive. I did watch a video on a competitors blind system and their installation utilized screws and a railing to lock-in positioning. These features would have been incredibly useful to have. I would actually suggest 4 capable people to help install this with precision at minimum. Even when all #1-#3 has been done, there are still some minor annoyances to be had. I have a side each of mainly perfection. One 10' and the other 13' slides up and down PERFECTLY and it is buttery smooth. Unfortunately the other sides are a little more difficult. It seems to have more resistance at the 75% mark and will need to be slowly bounced up in order to retract. This has been a point of consternation; I have tried many things to perfect it but the only solution I came up with is to really loosen the 4 long bolts of part of the legs (NOT the aluminum screws) so that the slides can pull the railings a little closer and come down with less resistance. I question if my #1 rule at the top has affected this despite the measurements seemingly perfected. Maybe I have some pillars that are just a little slanted despite the accurate 10' or 13' position? Sigh...I am not unbolting this again for the millionth time. If it's not that then maybe it's the quality of the blinds. I do have a mild case of OCD and this will affect me for years to come. Fortunately all blinds can nearly reach the bottom and can be fully retracted. This 4-walled "system" has been completed after multiple days and nights adding up to a nearly 20-30 hour ordeal. I have to take great pride into my efforts. Let me tell you...the blinds definitely were a lot more painful to install than the pergola. Oh one protip into #1 is that if you do have to unbolt/rebolt the product down, all but the very top screw can be removed. This will help swing the legs away in order to pull up the leg covers and do what you will with the bolts. This saved me from the dread of having to completely remove the blinds and reinstalling it with the 3-4 people effort. The resistance at the top should also hold the shade beam for more reassurance. It's probably not recommended as that is 60+ lbs hovering above but I've never had this fall on me for many many repeat fixes. I'm glad to be finally done with this!
