The product works as described. It was easy to convert the base to 4.5 inch. They recharge pretty well even in the north country where sunlight at this time of the year isn't plentiful.

Aluminum 4.5x4.5 base is a game changer. Especially when you mate them up to a Classy Caps solar lamp assembly. 4 small screws to remove and install onto the new base is all it takes!

We needed these to adapt your solar light caps to our Trex posts. _x000D_ I wish there wasn’t so much waste when using these on the lights. We removed the base that came on the lights and replaced with the 4.5x4.5. _x000D_ What can be done with the original base ?

i bought some of these years ago , still going strong. no rust aluminum pricey but you get what you pay for . why settle for cheap plastic.,great quality. long lasting adds the final touches to our new deck
