I reviewed this product before and I gave it an "OK" because the photo looks copper in color but when it arrives it's actually stainless steel. Due to my disappointment I rated it middle of the road. The manufacturer contacted me and stated that over time in will turn to rust so I then changed my review because I thought that was great. Well now a few weeks later, they were right. It does turn into rust, a very ugly and messy rust that gets your hands all dirty. This is the type of rust that is messy. I wish I never bought this firepit. It's very small and for the price I got ripped off. See attached photos to show the ugly rust, not smooth and pretty as they show on the on line photos.

The color changes a lot outside with rain. I would get a cover.

This lid is far too light. A gust of wind blew it thirty feet away from the firepit.
