The stainless steel screen and frame should last longer than the usual steel screens we've had to replace every year or two. The construction is below expectations, though. At this price point I expected more than spot welds to hold the frame together. As a cover for a fire pit, the screen will receive rough handling and deserves construction that is meant to withstand that. It wlll serve its purpose, but it's not made to last. I don't think the customer gets appropriate value for the price.
