The canopy works well for our application to shelter a back door from rain. Assembly instructions were reasonably clear but there are no instructions on mounting it to the house, so you will have to figure that out on your own. If you are not an experienced DIY person, you may have some trouble. The mounting hardware supplied is only for mounting to a masonry wall, so if you are mounting somewhere else, you will need to supply your own. The canopy is actually 74" long x 39" deep (extending out from the house). That is not stated anywhere. My application required exactly 72", so I cut one of the panels and supports to make it fit. Not an big deal for an experienced DIYer but...
