This latch is made of a pretty flimsy aluminum type metal. The workmanship seems subpar. This latch is a security tool and I’m afraid I would not trust this latch to be burglar- proof. I would look at other options.

I used these two latches for my she shed. I need them to lock the gate as I come in and out. They do the job and I like that they are stainless steel for the weather outdoors so they don't tarnish! You'll need to put a string around the top and latch it somewhere so you don't get locked in wherever you put it. The door could close on you and you wouldn't be able to open it.

I’m essentially going to throw this cheap flimsy item out. I’d think most people would need a strong, solid latch to protect important items to be locked up. This latch is lightweight aluminum type metal. I would not trust licking anything with this latch.

These are heavy duty and were exactly what we needed to replace our existing rusted over latches. My only complaint is that the screws included for install are FAR too short, I guess that’s depending on how thick the wood is you have to drill through. I wound up finding some in our garage that were at least double the length and added a washer and nuts as fasteners. I just have one more latch to install on another gate.

Just received my two piece latch set. I'm going to put these on my she shed door. I have a door that doesn't stay open when I push it inwards and I plan on putting one latch on the outside and one on the inside wall post to hold it open. It comes with a small keychain ring to attach to the latch and a rope to pull it up.
