made out of a very light foam like material, flimsy by its own weight. It is not wood or plastic and no hardware since it is not a functional piece (for decorative purpose only). I would not use this kind of material to repair or replace anything on my house, but it will serve the intended purpose and will look good from a distance. The reason I gave it a 3 star because I believe it is over priced....
