Love that it is dishwasher safe for easier clean up. The adjustable heat feature is amazing.

Love the George Forman grills!

This is my 3rd George Foreman grille. My very first one was the mini where you could cook a single hamburger patty, I had that one for forever and it was awesome. Then I upgraded and bought the classic 5 serving grille with the copper colored coating, that grille was great but the coating started coming off after 2 years of use, so then I bought this newer 5 serving grille with the newer grey coating that looks ceramic, I bought this grille in November 2025. It takes a little longer to preheat compared to the older models, it feels like it gets hotter than the others, and within the last couple of weeks (April 2026) my hamburger patties have started sticking to the surface so bad that I have to forcefully pry the grille open and then when that happens the meat starts to tear apart. I’ve tried using cooking spray but that creates a ton of smoke and results are mediocre. I am pretty disappointed with this newer model. Like others have said, 5 servings is not realistic, I can fit 2 full sized patties on this grille, maybe 3. I have only ever grilled patties and chicken on this grille, pretty disappointed with how things are turning out with this model. I feel like I’ll have to end up replacing this one very soon before it becomes unusable. I always hand wash and never put it in the dishwasher.

I purchased this grill in Nov. 2025 and used it 2 or 3 times. It was great. Then I stopped using it because it seems defective. I share my story so others can take precaution if they encounter a similar situation and to alert the manufacturer. The last time I tried to cook, the grill started to heat up and continued to heat up and started making popping sounds and started smoking. The green light never came on. (NO, I did not submerge the control/heating part.). Cooking aborted. I recently tested it again and noticed that it started heating even when the control knob was in the OFF position. It continued to heat up increasingly and reached the max temperature of my thermometer 572F (or 300C). The maximum should be 400F. Hence, I believe it is defective (not safe) and will not be using it. Hopefully, I can easily get warranty service. I should have gotten the Gorge Foreman Contact Smokeless – Ready Grill (removable plates) which my friend owns and has never had a problem.

As mentioned by many others, 5 servings certainly doesn't reflect most realistic applications, specifically burgers that fit the size of a burger bun - you will get only 2 at a time. Also, while the concept of dishwasher/submersible plates coupled with the touted 8x more durable coating is great, the reality is that the coating works for about a month and then needs to be sprayed or the food needs to be pried off the grates. Why is it taking so long for the copper version to come out on everything. I have with that coating and it seems pretty good so far.
