I missed the fact that the base was metal, but I'm surprisingly pleased with it that way. It fits my space well and will function as needed combo dining/project/worktable. Great quality and looks great! Bench seats are nicely sized and not uncomfortable, but I will be getting thin seat cushions for them.

This was much bigger than I had thought, but otherwise beautiful. It was easy to assemble and looks very sturdy. I cannot wait to see my children eating their breakfast around this table in our new home.
