Great bench

The back rest is cast iron, it is a crude casting that should have been smoothed prior to painting. The seat and frame are light gauge metal rectangular tube. The back is heavy making it easily tipped backwards. If you or your guests are the type that drop into chairs throwing themselves against the back, they will tip this over and hit their head on the floor. I placed this against a wall to mitigate the possibility of someone going over backwards. It’s too too heavy and should have put heavy part for the seat(lower center of gravity). This item probably should be avoided and others built like it.

We purchased the bench in black. It was really easy to assemble. We are happy with it he appearance and the construction.
