I believe these lights even at a lower wattage really do help seedlings grow quicker. I ordered 4 of these and link two together at a time. I may go up to linking all four later. With the lights sitting on top of the domes, it's difficult to access the seedlings for watering or replanting. That's compounded when linking more than one light as they all lift up or become unplugged when you adjust one dome. When you start from seed you still have to water daily even though these domes hold the humidity very well even in a cool room. Three of my four orders were in original packaging on Wayfair. Since they are all the same dome and have the same parts, the packaging made no difference in the product's use.
