The slide isn't a single piece of plastic like most slides are. It's built by wrapping a thin piece of plastic around wood at the end. The issue is since the plastic is bent, it began cracking after about a year creating a sharp edge at the bottom of the slide.

My husband, age 71 and I, age 70 build this for our grandson for his birthday in 2 days! The key was sorting all the parts by number and defining roles. My job was to identify all hardware and parts for each step and give my husband clear instructions. I also built the pieces that could be built separately. It was two solid days but we did it and grandson loves it! Could not be happier!

Play set was shipped 2 weeks late and was missing parts. It’s a great set but we had to wait a long time between the late shipment and the parts .

Really cute swing set with high quality parts. Assembly could be easier and the lack of a tool list in the manual made for several hiccups as we realized we didn’t have some particular size socket wrench, etc. Overall, it took about 10 hours to put together. My 3-year-old loves it already and I can see years of fun ahead. I would definitely recommend this one, with the caveat that you need a good tool kit and most of a weekend.

This is the perfect compact swing set! Very happy with it! We were honestly very impressed that we weren’t missing any parts. It comes in 1000 pieces. It took my husband about a day with a few breaks here and there to put it together. One of our neighbors helped to set the posts, other than that he put it together by himself. Very strong and stable. My 9 year old can climb and swing and it’s great for the littles too. Also have a 1.5 year old and a 3.5 year old

High quality cedar playset. Matches our house. Slide is also very durable. This will definately last for our two year old to “grow into”. He loves it!

The slide design is a bit wacky, especially on top where the bolt heads stick right out. We ended up placing a spare piece of wood over that. Also, some of the holes are pre drilled and some are not which makes no sense. Other than that, it is definitely a full day of work but well worth it at the end. Beautiful playset!

Very happy with the finished product, but be aware that it’s a big project. The boxes arrived somewhat damaged, but the delivery company did a good job of making sure nothing got lost, and we were not missing any pieces. My husband and I built it ourselves and it took about 12 hours total going one step at a time. You need power tools and some familiarity with different drill bits and drivers. The slide and the roof were the most challenging to put together because the plastic pieces weren’t very easy to bend and manipulate. Be aware of placement in your yard because it’s not something that can easily be moved once it’s together. I’d say by the time you are putting on the ladder, you need to have it in the spot where you want it. It looks fantastic and my daughter loves it. A few of the wood pieces split on us a bit, but it’s very sturdy. My husband went down the slide a few times and the swings held us without feeling like they were going to give out. I wouldn’t recommend going full tilt on it as an adult, but it’s definitely something older kids can safely use. We will be treating it with a water proofer and carpenter bee deterrent just to be safe. I think we may also purchase a few additional handles to put on either side of the slide and on the step up from the lower level to the higher level of the tower for some added safety. Overall, it’s a great swingset. It’s compact without cutting down on fun, and is at a good price point compared to other, more limited sets.
