This was surprisingly easy to construct (if you REALLY pay attention to ALL of the pictures and do it exactly the right way the 1st time; which we did not and had to take apart 3 different sections due to installing a piece/pieces in the wrong direction). The destructions (oops spelled that wrong, I meant instructions) are pictures only so be prepared for that. I recommend buying and using a rubber washer on the #3 roof screws. We did not and then had to figure out how to get back up there and put roofing tape over the screws to stop the little leaks. We also used the same roofing tape to go along the edge where this goes up against my house to keep the rain from running down between. It took me and my husband about 10 hrs to build this over 2 days. Full disclosure, we have both done some construction in our younger days, but we are both not as good as we once were. We bought 2 of these 10x12s and will be building the 2nd one next weekend. I suspect this one will go much more smoothly given the experience of building the 1st one.

Perfect for the area! I am excited to be able to have a covered area. I will upload finished pics after the rain. The metal frame is very sturdy and was fairly easy to assemble. Instructions easy to follow. My husband and I spent 4 hours on it and probably have another 1.5 to 2 hours to finish. We had to raise it in order for my door to clear. A few pieces were bent, but we were able to fix it. Very pleased the the canopy and I cant wait until its completed.

The pergola lean to is really nice when it’s finished assembling. My husband assembled with some help from myself and our oldest kids. It took him roughly a day and half to finish it with breaks. He is a novice level with assembly I would say. We did have one pole that was damaged on arrival, thought we would have to request a new one but we were able to shape it back into position. The thing that was the most annoying about assembly was the plastic shown in the third picture. It is necessary to protect the metal sheeting for the roof but it’s so very difficult to remove! It is super sticky on the metal and will only peel back a small section at a time and not evenly at all. I would recommend the manufacturer consider a different type of plastic- maybe the blue stuff like on other furniture. This took a lot of the assembly time. The structure is nice and heavy so make sure to have it in place properly when assembling. We don’t yet so it will be moved with 4 strong adults. Overall, nice pergola with sturdy materials. Don’t recommend for someone that’s a beginner or impatient.

I absolutely love this pergola. It took a good chunk of time to put together, but once it was up, I couldn’t stop admiring it. The galvanized steel roof feels strong and holds up great in rain and wind — no leaks, no rattling, just solid. It’s made our patio look like a whole new space. We’ve eaten dinner under it, had coffee out there in the mornings, and it’s quickly become my favorite spot to unwind. Totally worth the effort and every penny spent. — Jesteen from IL
