Great accessory to have for the KJ, can start the charcoal quickly and attain pizza level temperatures. It provides the best heat and charcoal flames for searing as well. The increase in air flow over the charcoal make all the difference. With the KJ's excellent air flow control you can still cook low and slow with he charcoal basket.

Great accessory while it lasted, but it falls apart. You only get a 2yr warranty buying this as an accessory (despite KJ offering 5yrs if it's bought with a new grill). This is too expensive for the frequency it'll need replacing.

However, the hooks get in the way on the Classic 1 and do not allow you to put the heat deflectors on the lowest tier of the divide and conquer. You have to balance it on the hooks of the basket or use the x accessory. I took an angle grinder and cut them off, now my heat deflectors can go on the bottom tier again.
