Does the job. It’s relatively sturdy, standing up to both gusts and snow with little movement. It is stiff, meaning unless you have an entirely straight line it points out meanderings. This may be solved easily with screening in some situations. I should think it would make an adorable backdrop to support a low annual border and separate it from lawn. In a cityscape, it could also help delineate and keep small leashed critters away from a bed.

These are exactly what I wanted to create a boundary between our walkway and garden. It's definitely a French Provincial look, which I am a big fan of. Gives a romantic vibe to the space
