Easy to operate and set schedules works well with the soil sensors. Works well with the main waterline sensor as well which was the main driving force for forgetting this. We’re all very happy.

I am very pleased with the Moen sprinkler controller. It detected the zones and was easy to set up. I took the time to input the individual zone characteristics including the soil type, watering type, number of sprinkers and the volume of water I want applied. The controller applies the right amount of water and allows time for water to soak into the ground. The best part of the system is it adjusts based upon the actual weather. It does not rely on a rain sensor. I am a professional engineer who is certified in plumbing design. I highly recommend this product.

We were forced to replace our Sprinkl with this crap. Our Sprinkl would automatically not run when it had rained. It rained all day yesterday, and this stupid thing ran the sprinklers this morning. They should reimburse us in full for our Sprinkl and then Moen should quietly exit the sprinkler controller business. They clearly aren’t serious since they don’t even have a valid option for room in their review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The controller itself: Pros: Easy to install, clean look, bright LED is easy to see. Cons: No local controls at all, power cord is fairly short, would have been nice if it included the correct sized screw driver for the terminals. The App: Pros: Fairly intuitive, most of the features / functionality one would expect, nice notifications of start / end of cycles, etc. Cons: Doesn't consistently show you what's running or offer the ability to stop the running schedule. The app changes the schedule run time and may cycle through certain zones without explanation as to what it's doing. For example, I configured one of my zones as "sloped" yard. It appears that it will water for about a minute, do the rest of the zones, and then come back to the first one and water for a minute, then let it rest for a while, water again, etc. I had to sort of intuit why it was doing that for the first zone only. It's also not very verbose about what adjustments it's making to the schedule due to weather information it has gathered. Lastly, It bugs me that I had to create yet another account for this app, but that's the way of the IoT world I guess. The in-app advertising of Moen products is also annoying, it tries to sell you soil moisture sensors every time you open the app. oh - another con for the controller - it has an RJ45 connector on the unit but it says "unused", I would LOVE to have the option to use hard wire ethernet over wifi. overall, I enjoy using the product and am glad to have it, will wait patiently for some polish on the app
