Pure Copper Handcrafted Hanging Ant Moat Outdoor Decor for Garden Backyard Patio and Deck

What a great idea! I am always trying to discourage the ant armies from swarming my hummingbird feeders. Its winter here right now so my hummingbird feeders have been stored for winter. I will update this review as soon as I can resuming feeding my lovely hummingbirds. I am sure this will work perfectly, and I plan on getting more for all my feeders! Thumbs up on this item! Update did the job, no ants all summer!

I haven't really had my feeders out long enough to tell for sure but so far, no ants. We've just had an unusually cold spell so it might be taking a bit longer for them to show up but I have noticed a huge increase of ant beds around the house so I'm thinking these moats must help.

I am looking forward to using this in the spring. Wrong time of year for hummingbirds in VA. It is a very pretty design. Only thing I would say is there are no instructions in the box when it arrives. I had to go to the add to find out what keeps the ants out. You coat it in veg oil then hang it. I will post how long the oil lasts for once I give it a try!

This is small and really cute. It feels sturdy and well made. The only problem I have is it didn’t come with any directions. It’s obvious how to hang it but it would have been nice if there were some recommendations for what to put in it. Hummingbirds drink nectar so I’d like to know what’s recommended to put in the cup. I will google it but still...

The copper color of the ant moat will help attract hummingbirds to my feeder. It will be nice not having ants in the nector for the hummingbirds. The ant moat is of a good weight that it won't be flying around in the breeze. It will be an attractive addition to my yard.
