I actually bought it to use for emergency indoors use if the heat goes out during winter. It comes in a very compact and lightweight bundle.

This tent might work for only the most benign weather conditions, maybe, while set up in soft soil. I wouldn't know for sure, because one of the joints in the tent poles was broken when I got it. But if it was undamaged, it might work, in like Iowa or Mississippi in soft soil on a completely still day. A strap broke, too. The 'stakes,' Lol, are actually just flimsy, long stemmed Allen hex keys! No blades, no barbs, nothing to hold them in the ground, so they're worthless in sand (like on a beach) or sandy soil. This is important, because the design appears to work only if the 4 corners are staked properly. The flexible joints in the tent poles just barely 'lock' in place, too, once it's shaken out. I dunno why I bought this. I probably knew better, but the supposed simplicity of the setup was appealing. That simplicity, lol, again, turned out to be extremely frustrating! Far worse than any slight extra effort that assembling tent poles would require. This isn't a good product, sry to say.
