Missing a bunch of parts. Wasted 2h of my day and need to send it back after all…got it as a gift and what a bust.

Easy to assemble and sturdy unit that works well. I would have awarded 5 stars but there is no height adjustment. My fault, I should have caught that…lol, looked at many.

I was looking for review for this item and could not find any in detail. So here is mine after a couple of uses. Assembly: Not the easiest since the instructions provided are slightly different from the actual product so you will have to figure out what goes where. We did not find an exact how-to video but we managed to put it together. Its easier with 2 people. Use: The first time you use it, you need to heat it up to burn off factory residue. It was a bit tricky to light up the first time but we go the hang of it from the second time. The temperature gauge helps especially to see if the grill is hot enough to add food, and when cooling it down as well. The top and bottom vents are an excellent feature. The ash pan is slightly tricky to insert and got scratched the first time we used it. The grill maintains its temperature well. My only gripe is that the conical insert inside hangs by 2 hooks and needs to be assembled carefully each time. This could have been designed better. We found the grill heats up better, more evenly and hotter, and burns longer and more evenly when the vortex system is assembled properly (instead of placing the cone at the bottom) when we misplaced the hooks once. Ashes do collect on the side of the kettle so needs to be cleaned if you intend to use this as portable. The ash pan is an excellent feature and helped contain all of the ashes that fell down from the kettle, though a large amount also stuck to the sides of the kettle. Portability: We got this grill to be portable and we found that it can be transported horizontally with the lid removed in the back of an SUV (ours is a Mazda CX-5) with enough space for our wagon trolly and other picnic items. We wrapped the bottom of the kettle in a garbage bag and knotted it to prevent ashes from falling out and it worked very well. The conical structure for the vortex system tends to fall out so you will have to handle the ashy grill and cone again when you make it upright. This could have definitely been improved. We have to keep track of the little clips to make sure we don't lose them. Results: The grill is large enough to grill multiple items and the resulting food is delicious. Compared to other similarly sized grills that our friends used during a windy bbq picnic, this grill retained heat and functioned well. Once it is preheated, it cooks food consistently and evenly, and we were serving up bbq while others were struggling to use their grills. Add food once the white smoke has reduced and don't overfill with charcoal otherwise the food and your clothes will smell like bbq for days. Its the perfect size for a small group of people < 10, unless you plan a longer bbq session.

very nice grill, very stable . stainless steel grate is easy to clean and the ash system works very well.

It’s such a beautiful and sturdy bbq I highly recommend it for those who enjoy using a charcoal grill! Setup was fairly easy to assemble granted my husband helped! Cleaning the grate is not hard! I loved the vent for temperature control! Very nice grill!
