This was pretty easy to put together with one big exception- the second step! You have to put both ends of 3 slats into pre-cut holes and use the provided screws to keep them attached. Well, you know the old saying about you can't put a square peg in a round hole? That's what this was!! I don't know if anyone else has had this happen to them- I didn't see it in any of the reviews I read. Perhaps I just got the "bad" one, but if you look at the picture you will see what I had to deal with. Luckily, I have plenty of tools and found that all I had to do was file the four corners of each peg and then they fit. But to have that happen before I had hardly gotten started unnerved me at first. I thought I had the wrong parts or something. So that is why one star is deducted. Anyway, all's well that ends well. I got it all put together, it works great and looks great, too. Be aware that there will probably be a strong smell of paint when you open it, but after getting it all out and by the time I put it all together that went away. I got the green one and I did see a few spots with less paint than the rest of the chair, but they were in places you won't really be able to see when the chair is setup and being used. This was packaged and wrapped really well and all the parts were there. The instructions were pretty easy to understand, though I would have liked a little more clarification or better drawings a few times.
