Very heavy and sturdy press made with cast iron. The handle is pretty but wide and awkward to hold. I heated the press up to 425 degrees for 20 minutes which I thought would be plenty hot but it did not leave the nice charred markings seen with a panini press. Maybe I should have heated it at a higher temp. I plan to try it again but was overall disappointed at how it cooks.

This Panini press is just right for making crispy bacon as well as sandwiches. It is good sized and heavy enough to keep those curly edges on thick-cut bacon pressed to the griddle. The copper coil handle cools quickly.

This is the panini press to get. It heavy and keeps all the insides of the sandwich in and the grooves provide the perfect grill marks. Plus it’s a breeze to clean. The only concern I have is the handle. Only time will tell if it hold up

This unit appears to be well made and the surface is large enough(8.5 x 6.75" at the widest part) to use on larger food items. I like the fact that it has a coiled copper handle which is suppose to cool down faster. I am so anxious to try it out on sandwiches and also on steaks and chicken.
