The pergola turned out great. Only a few minor manufacturing errors in one of the connection points, but we were able to work around it. Also, the plastic rings connecting the two leg parts were difficult to make work at first. There was no issue with these specific parts. Once we figured out to use a rubber mallet, that made assembly much easier.

I was looking for a pergola that could retract, deal with weather in the PNW and wasn't so bulky that I'd have to hire out for it to be installed. This pergola met all those requirements and more. It took 2 of us a few hours to put together, looks great, the cover slides out and in easily. We got the tan color and it filters sunlight without really blocking its brightness too much. Only thing I would request different is the rain protector piece could be a solid aluminum plate instead of fabric but otherwise this works great. Very happy with the price and the purchase!

We love this pergola and the ability to have it fully closed or 2/3 completely open The extended handle allows for ease of opening and closing the roof It’s very sturdy and well built We love it!

The only issue I have is that there should be a provision for holding the fabric top in the retracted position I always store it in that position because of the high winds here
