I must have looked at these cantilever umbrellas for several months. The nice ones run for 800 without a base, and I just couldn’t justify that much money for an umbrella. Pulled the trigger on this one for under 400 with a base included and was expecting it to feel cheap. It came very well packaged, the umbrella looks and feels high quality. The base is plastic but looks good! Overall I’m very impressed with this umbrella, I was expecting much worse for the money. Would buy again.

Assembly of umbrella was easy. I like the plastic rods attached to the corners of the umbrella canvas that slide into the ends of the extending rods. My old umbrella had corner pockets that eventually got stretched and would fall off the ends of the rods. I bought the plastic base separately which works well but it was a real pain to fill with sand through a 7cm hole on the top of each half. I bought play sandbox sand which was damp so it didn't flow at all. Perhaps weights would have been a better choice. Much quicker for sure.
