I haven't installed this yet. The order shows that the post is quite long. What it doesn't tell you is that you can cement that part into the ground. The red mailbox flag is metal, but the turn style is plastic. I am concerned that this plastic will eventually break. I live in the cold country where freezing is standard in the winter. I also am not sure I received all of the bolts and will be working on getting more bolts/hardware. The actual mail boxes and post are solid and beautiful.
