If you look carefully at the picture the chairs are positioned so that a person sitting would need to have the table leg between their legs. The table is just not big enough for 2 chairs to be next to each other. Also there is a cross section brace on both sides that prevents a person from scooting close to the table without hitting their knees. Causing a person to sit uncomfortably to far away from the table. I had to retrofit (see attached photo) the table because of this situation. By moving the side braces and putting them down on the bottom in the middle. I do not recommend this set.
