I guess I was thinking the material would be hard plastic rattan but it is a very hard plastic/rattan 'embossed?' with no give. Just very hard. Ok though when I find 4 inch cushions for it.

This is a great set. Excellent quality for the price. I have seen other sets the same price and not near the quality. The seats are comfortable but for long periods can get hard so I bought some cushions. This was my first Wayfair purchase and I am very pleased.
