Shady ..the good kind. We had two sails to compare, the material of this one is heavier intertwined and double stitched which I am hoping to last better. The hardware came with it which is a plus but it’s smaller than the kind you can purchase by itself on Wayfair. (I took a pic to compare. )As for keeping it tight, you need the additional hardware they recommended which I took a picture of them from their instruction manual.

The shade sail is made up of light, breathable, tough, stretchable fabic that is perfect for its use. It comes with instructions and most of the hardware, but not all. The buyer will have to purchase cable to install the sail.

I bought these sails to put over my pool and garden. It has reduced the water evaporation rate and has help keep my pool water cool. Before my pool water was very warm/uncomfortable and now it cool and refreshing like a pool should be. I love it!!!

The shade works as advertised. I use it to share a cement patio in the backyard and it has made it considerably more tolerable outside. This part of the house is southern-facing but the shade has really helped to keep it much cooler.

My front porch is west facing and so afternoon and evening get rather hot and made the porch almost unusable. With a little creative sewing I made the shade into a great porch addition. The shade is very durable and lasting fabric.
