I just assembled it and it wasn't too difficult. I'm not very handy (though my wife is) and we got it assembled in a couple hours. It's easy to move and easy to adjust the height, which isn't always true for these kinds of units. The backboard has the deadening effect for bank shots that is common for these units, but not true to play on a basketball court. The oddest feature is that, if you make a shot on the 10-foot setting, there's a good chance the ball will hit the lip of the base and deflect 50 feet away. It's like punishment for making the shot. Lower settings don't have this feature as much.

Don't buy this product. I had the bottom filled with sand and bungee corded to my chain link fence and it still blew over in the wind and the backboard shattered in the grass! Very poor quality. Save your money and just buy a cheap one for your kids because ones like that that are supposed to be stronger are still just at poorly made. Very disappointed and angry.

If you live in the mountains or another place that does not get wind it might be ok. I had this filled with heavyset gel, cinder blocks, and tie down strips and it still blew over. This last time was the last though as the frame for the backboard and the backboard itself broke. Replacement parts are more than the whole goal. Stay away from the portable design. It only lasted a year and half. Poorly designed

As a family we have two Goalrilla goals, one in-ground and the one NXT 50 portable. Both are excellent products. Very well made and relatively easy to install. The in-ground goal is a beast and requires several hours for the total installation. Most of the time is spent digging the hole for the base and cementing the base in place. The portable goal assembly is definitely a two-person job and took us just under two hours to assemble. Be sure to have a quality metric socket and open-end wrench set available. Can't say enough good things about the quality of the hoops. Highly recommend both of them.

The goal is really nice....the materials are of high quality and the goal looks amazing in my yard.
