Works as stated, mailbox is still standing after big snowstorm!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this mailbox shield! When you first take it out of the box it seems huge, but once installed it was the perfect size to protect our mailbox. Material is thick and very sturdy. Seems like it will last for multiple winters. Easy to install, but wish it came with stakes instead of requiring a separate purchase.

It’s decorative and has the newspaper slot built in. I was pleasantly surprised how large this mailbox shield was! One thing that I didn’t even consider, that I ended up loving, was that it’s big enough that I can put up the red  “outgoing mail” flag and THAT is even protected. We had a snowstorm two days after we installed this and a neighbor had another shield but her outgoing mailbox flag wasn’t protected and ended up getting snapped off when the snowplow went through. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very sturdy rotomolded plastic. Seems like it should last for many seasons. A couple of complaints I have is I wish the instructions went into detail the type of garden stakes you need to purchase separately. The original ones I purchased did not have any holes for the bolts to go into. I went back to the hardware store and purchased the only other kind they had, which had holes in them. The provided bolts did not fit into the holes, so I had to drill out the holes larger. Also, the bolts seem to be very long for where they need to reach to. You need a deep-welled socket to be able to turn the nut all the way down. I don't have deep-welled sockets, so I had to hold the nut with a wrench and then turn the screw head by hand with a phillips screwdriver.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sturdy material. Item appears overly large when we first received it but after installation, the size is perfect to protect the mailbox. Easy to install. Must purchase stakes separately. Durable and should last for many winters.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is really unique and relatively easy to assemble. The garden stakes do have to be purchased separately, but are inexpensive and easy to find. Assembly will take two people due to the size of the shield. Large enough to protect the entire mailbox and seems durable enough to last the winter.
