It was quite a journey from ordering to assembly. The Gazebo shipped in 2 boxes but, unfortunately, the first delivery had only Box #2. I contacted a Supervisor and was pleased with a substantial credit to my credit card for the inconvenience. I was told Sunjoy would only resend the entire order and that I could keep the original Box #2, no charge. As I was awaiting the replacement shipment on delivery day and had called to check on status of delivery, I was told by another Supervisor that the "Replacement Order" had arrived at the warehouse earlier in the week but the box and contents were damaged. So . . . Wayfair sent the damaged Gazebo back but failed to let the delivery company know. The Supervisor, again, pleased me with an additional substantial credit to my credit card for the inconvenience. The 3rd shipment arrived and a contractor (and 2 man crew) I had hired began assembly. Here are key points on the assembly process: 1.) The assembly took a full 2.5 days to complete by a licensed contractor and crew. 2.) The Manual is absolutely needed for success! It would be helpful if the dimensions (length) were added to the parts descriptions. 3.) Buyers should be aware that IF the Gazebo is being placed on a surface that is NOT completely level, it may be necessary to trim the wooden posts, per laser level results, to assure complete balance and a safe structure. 4.) VERY important to secure legs to ground as the large roof area will be affected by strong winds. 5.) Roofing Sheet Metal Panels - Good news, bad news: The panels are lighter weight and and prone to denting and possible scratching on the finish so HANDLE W/ CARE! All the panels are shipped with a plastic film on both sides of each panel. This protects the glossy finish from scratching (Good) but it is a VERY time and labor intensive process (Bad). Definitely worth it in the end but build in extra time in the assembly process. 6.) The wooden posts, supports and joists are a soft wood finish and may "bruise", so handle w/ care.
Overall, we are pleased with the Sunjoy 12x20 Gazebo! It provides a good sized space for a couch, 2 lounger chairs, 2 ottomans, cocktail table, end table and rattan storage box. It also has room for a 5'x3' table and 6 chairs. We added an overhead fan/light combo (additional support beams were installed by the electrician), 4 electrical outlets, and Bistro style dimmer style string lighting for additional light and ambiance. The support and compensation from the Wayfair team was impressive.
