Nice piece. It arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. The slate is actually carved out and then painted. I am impressed with the overall quality and aesthetic of this sign. Ordering was a little unnerving, but I just listed each row in the order I wanted it. Even though I deviated a bit from their pattern, it came just as I wanted it to.

I am so disappointed with this item and Wayfair Customer Service! This was supposed to be a personalized item and the was no place for the personalization to be input. There was supposed to be room for 3 lines of customization but there wasn't anywhere to put it so I phoned customer service not only once but twice and they both told me that I would be contacted by the manufacturer for specifics. No contact made and received an item that only had our name on it. Called after receipt and was basically offered a too bad for me. Very disappointed!

Very nice sign! Love the lettering. The only issue I had with it was that one corner appeared a little chipped. But it is slate and slate unfortunately does that. It was packaged VERY well so don't think it happened during shipping. Over all very happy with it.
