7FT Wood Garden Arbour With Door

Needs to be staked into the ground on the cheaper side (given for price) but I’m happy with it!

First off, the packaging is lacking. They only have reinforcement of the edges of the box, nothing of the front or back besides a thin foam sheet. I opened the box to discover that a few pieces were broken. Customer service thought it was from rough handling during shipping, and since it was out of stock and they had no spare parts to send me, they offered a discount. I figured I could fix it by gluing them back together, so I accepted it. When I went to put it together, you could tell that the quality is not there. The wood is incredibly soft. Many pieces were scratched. There is not guide holes to ease alignment. You need additional tools to make sure you're lining things up together properly, like clamps (or at least some tape or a friend), a square, and a level. You have to assemble the gate from scratch. This is not something you can assemble easily alone. It's so light, I can't imagine it not being blown over in the wind. I'd be surprised if this lasts longer than two seasons. I was about 75% through with assembly when I realized I was also missing pieces of the gate. It's now packed back in the box to get returned. I definitely wouldn't order this again after seeing the quality.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this arbor it is nice wood and the color is very nice as well, I would advise you determine and measure first the location you want this to be placed as it is bigger than you might think. Also, some help would be needed to put the arbor together, put the pieces of the doors together before you start putting the screws in so you make sure that everything is leveled and both doors close right.

Assembly took a very long time. The wood is very soft and we're concerned over the how it will look after a year or two. Arrived with the wood already heavily marked up. It does look nice once assembled, but it's looks better from afar.

Assembly instructions are easy to read. Other than some parts not having pre drilled holes, it’s not hard to put together. You’ll probably need an extra set of hands when putting on the arches up top and holding the doors in place while screwing in the hinges. Some edges of the wood were cracked. Nothing a little spray paint can’t fix but that’s why it lost a star.
