The best mailbox post I’ve found during a 2 month arduous search for a high quality piece. Most of the decorative posts I came across in my search were as thin as a milk jug, but not this one. It’s made from a solid PPE-vinyl material that’s evenly colored the same throughout its thickness. (I had to trim 38” from the mailbox mounting plate, so I saw for myself. I included a picture of the scrap piece). It’s SUPER sturdy, has a smooth surface, and cleaning requires a damp cloth, a spray of all purpose cleaner at worst. It’s also beautiful in person…I especially like the little brass plaque with the company name! I chose to have that side showing above the mailbox so the mailman sees every day lol. I think it adds a nice personal touch that other brands don’t bother with. The other ones I found of this quality were several hundred dollars more, and many of them were simply coated or painted wood, needing annual touch up and maintenance. Many were also made to order, and required a 6-8 week wait and 200-250 shipping). ***Tip the instructions state that two bags of concrete are needed, but I found that it only needed one, like every other post I’ve installed. In my opinion, one can save themselves the money and backache by using one bag of quick setting. (QuikCrete sells it in the red bag). Don’t forget that you’ll need a few inches of gravel underneath the concrete for drainage. There are plenty of YouTube videos on post installations.) Your instructions don't quite match the supplies you include, nor do they let you know the types of screwdrivers needed. You also send pieces that either have too many pilot holes, or perhaps they are the holes where you assembled the post, but don't supply what is needed to caulk them up.
