The privacy screen between my patio and the next door neighbours' was glass and quite ugly with minimal privacy. I bought this bamboo fence to act as a backdrop, then my plan was to plant some pots of live bamboo in front of it for added coverage. But once I stretched the fence out as wide as I possibly could, it actually ended up providing pretty much full coverage even without added plants!
The twine/wire keeping the slats together was a bit tight as no matter how hard I pulled, I couldn't get the fence to be longer than 15 feet, so it's a little short for my wall, though I figured that with natural materials there's a bit of variation anyway when it comes to size.
As far as looks go, I was a bit worried by patio would end up looking like a tiki bar lol but was pleasantly surprised that it didn't have that effect at all.
