Ships in 4 boxes and is easy to assemble. It does take some time since 9 sets of legs and 10 chair backs have to be attached to the seat frame(s). Each piece seems durable and lightweight which is great for moving or reconfiguring. Seat cushions are on the firm side and seat back cushions are soft. Seat cushions come with a piece of not slip fabric to be placed between cushion and frame. The seat back cushions are free moving and do not attached to the frame. The seat cushions are wide enough to lay down. It’s easy to reconfigure the sectional to fit your space. The wood looking pieces for the attached side tables and separate coffee table are either coated metal to appear wood-like or are heavy duty, light weight plastic.
