i have both the 25 qt and the 52 Qt BMX caolers. Their rotomold design allows you upgrade them to the performance level of the much more expensive yeti and Rtic brand coolers. Common to both of those manufacturers , the BMX coolers incorporate a molded lip along the edge on the underside of the lid ,which when closed, fits into a channel that runs along the top of the cooler walls.By adding adhesive backed 1/4 inch rubber weatherstrip "D" ( Inserted into the channel) you increase the ice retention to match that of the Yeti and RTIC product, as that rubber weather stripping is really the only functional element that distinguishes the 3 brands..
