Even though this is a BEAUTIFUL gazebo, I've been waiting to see if it would consistently withstand light winds. Since assembling and staking it into the ground in September 2024, as an added safeguarding measure, I faithfully remove the large canopy whenever the weather forecast has a high wind risk. I must say, the top-tier canopy passed the test for awhile until yesterday's (Nov 21st) 22 mph winds finally proved my thoughts that the canopy will catch too much wind and the steel poles wouldn't be as strong as advertised. As seen in the photos, most of the dome poles bent and broke inwardly as the wind gust pulled the frame from the ground and flipped it upside down. The frame and netting withstood the wind; the dome poles didn't and now are a TOTAL LOSS! I hope I can replace them through Wayfair... UPDATE: I'm pleased to announce that the manufacturer sent me a complete replacement of the destroyed gazebo! Tel qu'illustrée. Semble de bonne qualité, l'avenir nous le diras. Se monte très facilement. Utilisée toute la fin de semaine sous la pluie, elle est vraiment imperméable. Il manque seulement des attaches pour pouvoir rouler les côtés et les laisser en place. Nous devons les retirer et les serrer dans des pochettes à cet effet qui sont cousues à l'intérieur de la tente, mais au noveau de sol, ce qui n'est pas pratique puisque très salissant.. Roxanne. This is a great piece. I receive a lot of comments on it. It fits with my Victorian garden design perfectly. I have planted some climbing plants on the sides and can't wait to see them going up. First the good. The Gazebo looks amazing and, for the most part, was easy to assemble. We have a circular shaped patio which made it a small challenge to find a shade structure to cover most of the area as efficiently as possible. A rectangular structure that fit on the patio space would not have covered the space great, a rectangular or square structure would have had to be larger than the patio space requiring some digging to secure the system. The Octagonal design and size of the octagon fits almost perfectly onto the space. Assembly was very easy, fortunately I had a hex bit that fit the screws used for the assembly which saved my wrists from the stress of using the provided allan key. Only two hangups with the assembly, one, the metal roof has a layer of shipping film on both sides which took a few hours to remove from all of the pieces, definitely slowed moment. The second issue is the installation of the brackets that secure the roof could have been more clear, it took some time to get everything aligned so the caps could be installed. Some patience is needed for this portion. Only a couple of issues that prevent the 5 star. One, the unit is not very tall, when fully assembled the entry height is only 76" which we were aware of thanks to the drawings in the listing. I solved this by mounting the gazebo to some blocks that raised the height to better align with the patio steps. The other issue is with one of the pieces, it had a split running almost the entire length of the board and, in sections, appeared on both sides of the piece. I did reach out to the email listed in the instructions, they offered a discount on my total purchase, which I accepted. If I need to, replacing the board wouldn't be an issue for me so I accepted the discount, a replacement piece was not offered. In summary, we are very happy with the unit. It provides much needed shade for a space that receives significant sun from noon until 5PM in the summer.
