Ensemble de mortier et pilon

Just as described, and works as expected. Arrived quickly. The set is a little bigger than I thought it would be, but I don't consider that a bad thing. The finish is somewhat rough, as with most cast iron items. It needs to be placed on a pad or coaster so it won't scratch countertops. But this rough texture works very well for grinding herbs/seeds. The pre-seasoning seems to wear off a bit on the end of the pestle, but I've been drying it thoroughly and rubbing some oil on it after washing, and so far I haven't had any problems with rust.

Larger than I expected. Love the cast iron. An excellent buy.

Quality product but too costly

Love it! It is heavy and a very pretty and functional piece. Once seasoned, it is every easy to clean after use.
