The flooring was exactly what I was looking for.

The floor looks great but does have quite a bit of color variation. This may not worn for everyone but it does give the impression that the flooring is more natural.

I ordered something like fifty boxes of this - I put hardwood on about 1k sq ft of a house. I'm glad I ordered more than I needed, because maybe 8 boxes were some other color - the labels weren't the same, so, be sure to check your labels before install or you might be halfway through and realize the colors don't match. With that said, the colors within the right batch weren't super consistent, but if you are careful with your install and blend it well, you won't really notice. The surface of the wood is textured, not smooth, so cleaning it is sort of a pain. Normal hardwood has color variation in the grain and a smooth surface, but this has texture variation instead because obviously they need to put the grain appearance in somehow. I did some drywall work and got dust all in the little texture cracks and it took a lot to get it out. (Shop vac, sweeping, mopping more than once.) You will need a real mop and bucket, not a swiffer thing, to care for this floor. The color is darker than it shows in the pics, which should really be updated to reflect that, because while I was flexible about it, it's definitely different enough to upset someone. (The photo with the finished floor that I'm attaching was taken in the evening, in a room with a normal ceiling mount light.) It looks good overall and I am content with my purchase.
