Rickety design. Not stable enough to reliably use as a lofted bed frame. The ladder is an accident waiting to happen; the size of the rungs and their placement from one an another is an accident waiting to happen.

Purchased for adult use in a small apartment and it works great! Very sturdy and good quality. We had three people putting this together: one to read the instructions and advise on bolt size for each piece and 2 people to construct. It included all tools needed, but please note that the instructions are a tad unclear in some steps and some minor problem solving may be required. For example: the reviews that state their holes didn’t line up simply needed to swap that piece to the other side of the frame, but the instructions don’t specifically mention that potential issue. (This was really limited to the angle support pieces in the first stage of assembly.) Also, when we installed the mattress support bars, there are some bars that will bolt in and are built to accept a bolt, and the other bars simply slide into the cut out slots to support the frame- these do not have the same receiving ends as the aforementioned bars; however, the instructions had us placing these in the wrong order. It was a simple fix of sliding the necessary bars out to line up with the bolt holes, but an issue that should be fixed in the instructions. In addition, the instructions should note that you will require 2 people to squeeze each end of the frame together while another person screws in the bolts when installing the last upper shelf/rail, as the holes do not line up without firm pressure to align it. That being said, it makes a tight sturdy frame. Overall, the quality of the frame makes this a great purchase.
