did not fit any headboardfootboard

These worked perfectly on my platform bed frame to attach a head board

They would not tighten up on the bed frame

The product appears to be as ordered, but there are no directions, diagrams or anything else to suggest how they should be installed.

Wish these would have came with installation instructions as I have no idea if I have them on the bed correctly or not, given that the box spring does not fit into them correctly. Hoping they work well with the headboard once I figure them out.
