Sturdy and a nice matte finish which seems durable. Fit the advertised sized vent box, 3 in 6x10 and 1 in a 6x12. Pleased with the appearance.
I docked one star for the following. If you have standard sized duct boxes you will need to install the provided spring clips or the register will slip around when you step on it. There are no directions provided but I found a video on YouTube. You’ll need a #2 Phillips screwdriver. The screws that hold the damper to the register on the long sides are the mounting location for the spring clips. The screws provided and the existing ones that hold the damper to the register are too short (1/8”) to properly attach the spring clips, though the YouTube video will tell you otherwise. I used 8x32 (which is the proper thread) x 3/8” purchased at a local hardware store. 1/4” would have been perfect but the shortest I could find were 3/8”. The extra length didn’t interfere with the damper operation. Be sure to install the spring clips vertically, sticking down below the damper, and with the bent tip facing in towards the damper. That will make it simple to slip the register into the duct. If you install them with the bent tip facing outward the clip will not sit flush on the register and the spring clips will catch on the duct when you try and install the register. That done the registers went in securely and don’t move around.
