We bought this deck box for package delivery, to sit near our garage to receive packages and keep them safe from rain and snow. I like that it has gas lift assist hinges, which keep the lid open. My hope and intention is that it makes it easier for the delivery person, whose hands may be full, to open and use the box. Once you lift the lid part way, the gas hinges open it the rest of the way and hold it open while the delivery person loads the packages into it. Closing it, the hinges make it a "soft close", and then hold the lid shut. The box itself is fairly light weight, flimsy even, but I was shopping on a budget and this seemed the best product for the money. The assembly directions were clear enough, but the bottom piece did not snap together well like it should have, and I had to hammer it in place, use a screwdriver to wedge the tabs together, and even use a utility knife to trim some plastic to make it go together. I built a platform next to my driveway and garage for the box to have somewhere level to sit, but the lid would not close straight. I had to wedge up one corner, so the box no longer sits exactly level, but now can close correctly. It's cheap plastic construction, and build tolerances are not perfect, but after some fiddling it works just fine. Overall I am happy with my purchase, and yes I would recommend this product. It looks nice and works well, and most importantly, my wife is happy with it!

You have to make sure you have both ends of the lid when opening or closing in order to keep the lid even.

Love it and it was so easy to assemble

This is my second one. Sturdy enough to sit on, large enough to hold all my outdoor supplies, easy enough to put together and a cost effective outdoor storage solution.

I saw one of these at an outlet store for $89:99. I almost bought it but didn’t. Then I found yours for under $70. So happy I found Wayfair a few years ago. I love your merchandise and your prices. Now I check you out first when I wand or need something. I have bought several rugs and large furniture pieces and can honestly say I have never had a problem with any of them.
