It’s loud but works well!

The dogs love it, my biggest problem is the wooden slats fall off often, its always a different one that comes off. The brake didn't go on correctly, there was not enough slack for it to attach so we dont even use the brake.

Purchased in February - it's May and I absolutely LOVE this. Exactly as described - and has been working great with my 70lb labs. In fact, I can even walk on it with them.... to really have fun. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos to learn how to train dogs to get comfortable - and I think they especially like the control - being that it's manual. Would buy again!

Edit 2 Wayfair has offered a return or replace (their supplier has offered this). No hassle return, I don’t have to pay for the shipping back, thankfully. I appreciate the fact they are willing to take it back and either return or replace. I am going to return, only because there are a few things that need to be changed in the material and overall design (imo). I will give one extra star for the fact they are taking it back without saddling me with the cost of shipping. Edit 1 6 Days after first use, and a slat flying off- the brake cable completely detached. The brake is barely used!! I now have to buy another cable and repair the brake. Seriously not happy with how many problems there are in less than a week. Original Review I’ve been on the hunt for a slatmill for a long while and was excited to find this one on sale. I have a Malinios which should be the end of sentence and self explanatory. But for those who don’t know, Malinios are a special breed- I cannot emphasize this enough, they have ENDLESS ENERGY. He works, we get out and do fun stuff but I felt like we still needed to supplement with something. Especially on the super cold or hot days. Apart from a few scuffs and dings it seemed to work okay. It was a bit stiff and not an easy roll like the super high quality (5k) ones that roll lots when you spin them on their own. I was not super happy about those things especially when you spend thousands on an item but I was willing to look past that. I’m a single mom with no financial assistance so this was a big purchase. I have a chronic injury to my shoulder, so getting this thing into the house was the hardest part and required help. It’s heavy, I couldn’t do it. I had assistance in putting it together but for anyone who doesn’t have an injury like mine- it’s pretty darn straight forward and I’d say easy to do by yourself. As soon as we put it together we got my K9 on there, and he definitely put some kms on it. We received it on Thursday, it was built and put together on Friday. 5 days after first use- a slat few off in the middle of him going full throttle. I immediately heard it, which is good cause it was moving so quick I couldn’t actually see one was missing. I quickly slowed him down with the brake and he did catch the open bit with one of his paws, but thankfully he didn’t *fully* step into it (surely would have broken bones). It seemed to hurt and confused him but we could stop without anymore or worse injury. I wish I was able to scoop him up off the track when I first heard it, that would have been ideal. Anyways. When I stopped it and looked at it, a full slat ripped off and the screws (4) and a full empty space, all exposed. The potential for injury here is MASSIVE. There is a high chance wouldn’t have been able to work again if he fully stepped through. I will write to the supplier and to Wayfair. Depending on how they handle this, I will update the review. But for now, people need to know there are risks to using this slat. I feel pretty upset about this, all things considered. No way I can return this with my injury. Have been wanting one of these for my dogs for quite some time and decided to give it a try. They love it and we have been using for a few days now since it has arrived. I will outline a few pros and cons on this purchase: Pros: Appears sturdy, hand brake is an excellent feature, price point was fair, quick to assemble, will be used frequently in our household Cons: instructions are not that great, don't get a lot of replacement slats, no matter the level of the feet and wheels this is always on a slight incline. I have a handy hubby tho and we will set the back legs on solid blocks to level it to be straight across. I also will point out that Wayfair customer service is not great to deal with. This item went on sale quite significantly literally two days after my purchase and they do not offer price matching/adjustments on any of their items. It would've been such a hassle to purchase at the lower price wait for the shipment all to ship the 100lbs package back to receiving the new one and then a refund so I just didn't bother. Otherwise, so far I think this is a great purchase for us and my dogs love it already. ☺️
